The force and deformation characteristics of bending
In the bending process, when the external bending moment is applied to the billet, the radius of curvature of the billet changes.
1) Elastic bending: At the beginning of deformation, the deformation degree is small. The inner and outer surface materials with the greatest stress in the billet deformation zone do not yield, and the materials in the deformation zone are only elastic deformation.
2) Elastic-plastic bending: With the increase of deformation, the material in the billet deformation zone and outer surface will yield first and enter the plastic deformation state. With the further increase of deformation, the plastic deformation gradually expands from the surface to the center.
3) Pure plastic bending: deformation to a certain extent, the whole deformation area of the material is completely in a state of plastic deformation.
