There are three grinding methods: dry grinding, wet grinding, and mechanical grinding.
Dry grinding: Sanding with sandpaper. It is suitable for polishing hard and brittle paint, but its disadvantage is that it will produce a lot of dust during operation and affect environmental health.
Wet grinding: Polish with water sandpaper dipped in or soapy water. Water grinding can reduce wear marks, improve the finish of the coating, save sandpaper and labor. But pay attention to spraying the undercoat after water grinding. First of all, it is necessary to wait for the water grinding layer to completely dry and then apply the paint, otherwise, the paint layer is easy to white. Another substrate with strong water absorption is not suitable for grinding.
Mechanical grinding: in order to improve the work efficiency of large-area construction, electric grinding machines (disk type, vibration type) and other mechanical grinding methods can be used.
There is also a polishing: painting requirements are marked as "light polishing", such as sealing paint, old paint film recoating, local repair, etc. At this time should choose fine sandpaper and skilled hands for "light grinding".
